About Us
A dynamic duo in both business and life, I run this business with my lovely girlfriend Jaiden. You'll find her photogenic face plastered across our social media and marketing materials while I try my best to hide behind the camera.
I started what is now known as "Better Days Vintage" online while in college in 2016 and opened our first retail store a week after graduation in 2019 in SE Portland's Sellwood neighborhood. Jaiden joined the team in 2022 at our (now closed) McMinnville location and that's when things got really fun. Getting to share this business journey with her, the ups, downs & everything in between, is truly the most fulfilling work I can imagine.
I do this because I have a genuine passion for vintage clothes but also because I'm simply an unorthodox person at heart and I seriously doubt my employability in a traditional corporate career setting. I don't know exactly why Jaiden chooses to stick around, but she gets her pick of a near unlimited supply of free clothing from the business and that's a pretty tough job perk to turn down.
We recently re-located to my hometown of Lincoln City on the Central Oregon Coast and are currently attempting to live beach life to its fullest. When we're not working, you can find us curled up with a book in our hammock, having picnics on the beach, or searching the coast for the perfect dive bar.
It is my belief that our communities are stronger and more colorful when we allow independent businesses to flourish in doing unique and interesting things. Jaiden and I aren't some corporate monolith or any sort of get-rich-quick schemers; just a couple of reasonably down to earth folks trying to lead a life worth living and leave this world a little better than we found it. Thanks for checking us out and here's to Better Days!
